Pretorius?
Jacques Pretorius, founder of Funbos EBikes at Lomond Wine Estate, combines a deep-rooted passion for environmental conservation with a love of adventure. With a Master’s Degree in Environmental Management, Jacques brings years of guiding experience from renowned locations like the Sabi Sand Game Reserve and Grootbos Private Nature Reserve. In 2024, he fulfilled his dream of owning a business that harmonises nature and adventure, creating Funbos EBikes.
Visitors who join Jacques on his guided Ebike conservation tours will explore the rare and stunning landscapes of the Elim ferricrete fynbos and Overberg sandstone fynbos, some of the world’s most endangered ecosystems. This unique journey blends excitement, education, and serenity as guests connect with nature and learn about local conservation efforts.
When he's not guiding, Jacques is out in the wilderness himself, riding trails, absorbing the beauty he works to protect - a passion that never fades.
